John Feldmann confirmed to produce next Throw The Fight record

The band is set to hit the studio with Goldfinger frontman May 1st, 2011

(Minneapolis, Minn.) April 11th, 2011 - The Minneapolis-based rock / metal act, Throw The Fight, have confirmed that John Feldmann (The Used, Story of the Year, Atreyu) will be producing the band’s sophomore release.

The band is set to enter the studio on May 1st to track the follow up to their debut release, “In Pursuit of Tomorrow,” at Feldmann’s LA studio.

“We’re big fans of the records John has done and are looking forward to getting in the studio and putting this next group of songs together with him. Working with Feldmann is going to serve as an integral step in pushing Throw The Fight in the right direction for 2011 and beyond,” says Throw The Fight guitarist, Ryan Baustert.

Most recently the band has been seen touring the Midwest and East Coast. The band’s debut album has garnered radio support across the country and support slots with today’s biggest rock acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Sevendust, and the Vans Warped Tour among others.

Hello everyone,
We're sad to let you know that our tour kickoff at the Rock that was scheduled for Friday, July 23rd has been canceled as of Wednesday July 21st at 6pm.

We were informed yesterday afternoon that The Rock will be closing their doors this Friday because they are going out of business (something we had heard rumors about for the last 5 weeks, but were assured by the owners and promoters of the venue that they were not and they were simply rumors.) Yesterday the rumors were confirmed.

There was an attempt to move the show to another venue today, which we are appreciative of towards the people that tried to do that. The owner of the other club confirmed the show. Then he decided to change his mind 3 hours later after all the acts had started to promote the move.

That being said, there is no way we can salvage this at this point in time and the event is canceled. We understand that sometimes things happen beyond our control. But the fact that we found out about this 2 days before the show doesn't give us any options.

We promise to make it up to our Minneapolis / St. Paul friends and schedule something soon to make up for this. Thanks for hanging in there! See you on the road.

Throw The Fight announce new lineup / new single July 20

The band to continue as a six piece / Upcoming tour dates July - August, 2010

(Minneapolis, Minn.) June 21, 2010 - The Minneapolis-based rock / metal act, Throw The Fight, have announced a new lineup and digital single, which will be released July 20. The band will carry on as a six piece and feature three guitarists. New members include Brian “Stitch” Foster, formerly of Lava Records band, Grade 8, on bass, Kevin Beck and Brooks Bohmbach, formerly of Minneapolis metal act, Saving One, on guitars, and Jeff Baustert, brother of original guitarist, Ryan Baustert, on drums.

According to Baustert, “We had some members that couldn’t continue to tour full time so it was time for a change. Not being able to tour simply isn’t an option for us. We belong on the road. It was a mutual decision between the former members and there is no bad blood at all. Having the new guys in the group is great. The vibe is extremely positive and we’re able to take things to another level musically with three guitarists.”

The group’s new single, ‘Bloodshot Eyes,’ is being released July 20th on the heels of the band’s next full length, due out in the fall/winter of 2010. Hello everyone,

Sad news in the Throw The Fight camp today. We just learned a couple days ago that our vocalist, James, has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. He will be having surgery this coming Thursday and there is a period of 2 weeks where he will have to recover.

Since our show in Superior Wisconsin on June 20th falls in this 2 week window, we are going to have to back out of the show. At this point we are not sure if James will have to have radiation or chemotherapy after so it is possible that more dates will have to be canceled as time goes on.

The worst part is that James is currently living without health insurance and medical bills are expected to be well over $50,000.

It is possible that we will be setting up a benefit show for james in the next couple months. We will keep everyone posted with details of that if it happens.

Minneapolis, MN - April 13, 2009 - Minneapolis rock act, Throw The Fight, have signed with Jason “JD” Fields and his management company, Legacy Management Group (LMG). Legacy oversees the careers of national recording artists 12 Stones (Wind-Up), A New Revolution (Koch), Midnight To Twelve (JKH/Koch), Opiate for the Masses (Century Media), as well as several other up and coming acts.

"Throw The Fight is a band we have been watching for some time, their work ethic and relentless strides to make you aware of their presence and music is very rare in today’s bands. What's up, everyone? We just wanted to drop in and give you an update on our upcoming record. It's finally finished and is currently out in California getting mastered by Vlado Meller. (Metallica, Weezer, Staind, etc) The name of the record is 'In Pursuit of Tomorrow". There is no official release date yet, but once we know when it is, we will be sure to keep you posted. JAMES CLARK NAMED NEW FRONTMAN FOR THROW THE FIGHT - DEBUT ALBUM COMING FALL, 2007

Minneapolis hard rock act, Throw The Fight, has recently parted ways with vocalist Paul Kreuger. James Clark, formerly of 2 Ton Crutch, has been named as the new frontman for the band. The group is currently tracking their debut album with producer Matt Kirkwold and his production company, World Record Productions. The record will be released in the fall of 2007 via Warner Music Group's - Cordless Recordings. According to a statement from the band..."We have no ill feelings towards Paul in any way. It just came down to the point where we needed to be honest with ourselves and make a change in order to keep moving forward with the band. We wish Paul the best in his future endeavors. The music that is being written with James is a huge step forward for us. We're really excited with the direction that these songs are headed in.""I'm really thrilled to be a part of this group and am very confident with the music that is being tracked right now. I can't wait for people to hear these songs and for me to start playing shows with these guys," according to Clark.

This is it! We've been busy tying up all the loose ends before we head down south to join up with The Warped Tour on Friday! We will be doing all of the Texas, Georgia, and Florida dates. So if you're in the area, please come see us play. This is our first time in these states and we want to get to know as many of you as possible! So be sure to swing by our tent. We'll be hanging out all day and we've got free stuff for you! We've also got brand new merch in! So everyone in Texas, Georgia, and Florida gets to be the first ones to get their hands on it! Guitars, Guitarmonies, Insanity!

Greetings Ladies and Gents! Joey here. Just wanted to fill everyone in on the guitar situation for our upcoming record. First and foremost, I would like to say that I am thinking primarily about how much melting your faces will endure by getting the tone similar to a freight train smashing into a fusion power plant on this record. Tracking is going great. It is definitely a long and meticulous process but things are coming together rather nicely. I can say that the record will definitely be worth the wait. I have completed rhythm tracks for 3 out of the 9 songs. As far as songs are concerned, we have a nice variety; we have the sing-a-longs, the campfire tunes, the hair ballads, and most importantly, the make-your-neighbors-go-nutz-and-move-out songs as well. Here's the insider's list of what I am using on our upcoming album to achieve the "love tone:"

What's up, everyone? The last couple weeks have been pretty killer over here at the TTF camp. We were lucky enough to be featured on the myspace music page last week. So we want to say "what up?" to all the new people that have added us and sent us messages. We really appreciate it and it means the world to us to hear from all of you. I've noticed that we've been getting a lot of the same questions asked, so I just want to clear some stuff up...

Is it really the band that runs your myspace page?
Yes! Our myspace page is ran by the band and the band only. The same goes for all of our other websites. We plan on keeping it this way for as long as we possibly can. I do most of the replying but if you have a question for a specific member of the group, I will make sure that it is forwarded to the right person.

We reply to all the mail that we get so if you ever want to drop us a line, we will get back to you. Also, our email address is throwthefight@yahoo.com. Feel free to hit us up there, too.

When are you guys coming to our area?
Right now we are in the process of tracking our debut album, so we're keeping the shows light for the time being. But as soon as the record is done, we'll be hitting it up hard and hopefully doing a fall tour in support of the album.

As soon as we confirm shows, the first place we post the info is on myspace. So just check our page to see where we'll be at. Or sign up for our mailing list. You can find the code to do that on our page. You can also send me your email address and I can add you to it myself. Here is what we have coming up for shows at the moment...

Where can I get your music? I looked for your cd in Best Buy and it's not there!
Below are some links to places that you can find our tunes. At this point, we don't have a distribution deal like a lot of bands do. So you won't be able to find our cd in stores like Best Buy, Target, Hot Topic, etc. It is only available digitally on Itunes, Napster, etc. Or any online distributor like smartpunk.com, interpunk.com, etc.

If you want to help us to be able to have our upcoming record more accessible and available in stores, the best thing to do would be to order our ep The Fire Within from one of the places below or to download some of the songs somewhere. It will help put us on the map, for sure! We can't do this without all you guys ;)

You know it! Half of us live in the Minneapolis area. The other half live in Wisconsin right on the MN border. Minneapolis has always been home base for us. Plus, if we were from somewhere else we would call that place home instead, ya heard?

One of the best shows ever! Storm Lake Iowa, you f-ing rule! We had a blast playing on Saturday night. And for all of you that were in front.............Thank You! That's what we came for. Amazingly enough the crowd was so loud that between songs, we couldn't even talk to each other.......now that's how it should be. We'll definitely be back in Storm Lake sooner than later. We'd also like to thank 97.5 The Edge for putting on the show and bringing us down, and the guys that helped with gear. Storm Lake.......You are the best fans around, bar none. See Ya!

We destroyed 2 stages in 2 days and had a blast doing it. Both shows were really fun, but evening number 2 had a few more exciting things go down than night 1, more to follow. Anywho, we'd like to thank all of the people that came out and enjoyed the shows and we'll see you next time. We made some new friends and we hope to see you guys at shows in the future. What's up one and all!? Our show on Saturday night in Sheboygan, WI was off the handle. We had a great time and by the looks of the crowd so did they. Unfortunately our bushy haired lead singer named Paul (AKA: Swartzman) plunged his size 14 unlaced ski boots through the monitor, resulting in us donating our gas money to the man. Damn the man!

Ryan: "Hey broseph, do you think we could get our gas money"

That Guy: "Actually no, your singer stomped through the monitor".

Cory: "You get to stage in the parking lot next time".
